Adhesive vinyl on glass

 

A collaboration with writer Anton Shammas and graphic designer Franc Nunoo-Quarcoo in celebration of National Poetry Month. This project was installed in the entrance tower of Kerrytown Market, a collection of local shops and eateries adjacent to a busy farmer’s market in Ann Arbor. Shammas’ text was written for the electronic sliding doors to the market, so that the poem was written and unwritten by every person passing through. Clumps of vegetation frame the text. Fragments of the poem float away from the doors to nest in alternate configurations within the magic garden.
